Language Arts End of Year SMARTR Outcomes
90% of students in grades 3-6 will score pass proficient or pass advanced on the Spring 2020 Reading SOL.
100% of all students in grades K-2 will make at least a year’s growth and students reading below grade level benchmark will make over a year’s reading growth as measured by the DRA2.
75% of students in the SWD subgroup in grades 3-6 will score pass proficient or pass advanced on the Spring 2020 Reading SOL.
95% of students in the ELL subgroup in grades 3-6 will score pass proficient of pass advanced on the Spring 2020 Reading SOL.
Students will continue to develop as critical readers by being able to think, communicate and connect what they are reading to other literacy activities and life experiences. Students will participate in small group, targeted instruction. Students will engage in authentic and meaningful independent literacy activities (ex: written or visual reading responses, conversations, partnerships) daily as part of the Reading Workshop model.
Advanced Academics Program End of Year SMARTR Outcome
By June 2020, 100% of students will have had access to AAP rigor resources and strategies.
Provide targeted education and assistance to all students, staff and families about AAP opportunities, curriculum, access and strategies.
Communication End of Year SMARTR Outcome
By June 2020, 90% of Groveton families will report that school staff works with them to identify academic and social emotional skills that their children can develop to be successful.
Increase communication between school and families in order to share students’ academic success and opportunities for growth as well as social emotional strengths and areas of need.
