I am originally from the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. There, I graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I taught both preschool and kindergarten before moving to Alexandria to teach at Groveton Elementary. I truly love it here!
I love music and dance. I taught dance classes for six years. I love to sing and used to take lessons in playing the conga drums (I want to take up the congas again and also learn to play guitar). I also enjoy reading, going on walks, exercising, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
As a teacher, I strive to help my students develop academic, social, and emotional skills that they will use throughout their lives as they become problem-solvers, collaborators, and creative thinkers. I hope to instill in them a love of learning that they will carry with them into adulthood.
