Learn more about Michelle Biltcliffe

I was born and raised in Connecticut.  I moved to Northern Virginia to attend George Mason University, where I earned a BA degree in French and a minor in Spanish and then earned an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am the Lead ESOL Teacher at Groveton. This is my 13th year in FCPS, and my 11th year here at Groveton. I co-teach 6th grade with Ms. Matthews, and this is our fifth year teaching together. I am currently a member of the ACC, completing an endorsement in Educational Administration. Teaching at Groveton is a wonderful experience because I am able to work with students from different cultures who speak different languages. Helping students learn how to acclimate to a new school, new language and a new culture is a wonderful and fun experience. In addition, I am able to learn from our students and they help me improve as a teacher each year. I love to study languages. I have studied French, Spanish, Latin, and Russian.  I plan on learning Italian, so that I can travel to Rome and Venice one day soon. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and with my two cats, Paris and London
